Super Magnifier
Effective 20 July 2026 · Last updated 12 September 2026Super Magnifier (the "App") is developed and published by The Sugar Apps ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of the App and to nothing else.
For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, The Sugar Apps is the data controller for the limited processing described here. You can reach us at thesugarapps@gmail.com.
We want to be specific about this, because magnifier apps see sensitive things. We do not collect, receive, store, or transmit:
The following stays on your device. It is never sent to our servers, and it is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.

Sharing a photo from the App is always an action you initiate. When you share, the image goes to the app you pick (mail, messaging, cloud storage) and is then governed by that app's privacy policy, not ours.
The free version of the App relies on services operated by Google and the app store you installed from. These services collect limited technical data directly from your device, under their own privacy policies.

Payments. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or receive your card number, billing address, or any payment credentials — only confirmation that an entitlement is active.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking camera access disables magnification; the rest of the App continues to work.
The one-time ad-free upgrade stops ad requests, and with them the advertising data collection described in section 4.
Uninstalling the App removes its local settings and identifiers. On Android you can also clear app data from Settings → Apps → Super Magnifier → Storage. Photos you saved to your gallery are yours and are left untouched — delete them from your gallery if you want them gone.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a comparable jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad personalisation you can switch off using the steps in section 7. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Because the App has no accounts and we hold no directly identifying data, we usually cannot locate records about a specific person. To exercise a right, email us at thesugarapps@gmail.com and we will help where we can, including pointing you to the right controls at Google or Apple.
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
On-device data is kept until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Data held by the third-party services in section 4 is retained under their own schedules — Google, for example, applies defined retention periods to analytics and advertising data.
The third-party services above operate globally and may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Those providers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.
Keeping data on your device is our main safeguard: what we never collect cannot be breached on our side. Network requests made by the App use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we sell or transfer the App or our assets to another organisation, any data associated with it may be transferred as part of that transaction. The acquirer will be required to honour the commitments in this policy, and we will note any material change here.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App, our providers, or the law. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted in the App or in the store release notes. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
